Multidisciplinary Teams

This training series includes six interactive webinars that explore key tools engaged by adult protection multidisciplinary teams and the roles of the professionals who serve on these teams. The first five webinars, released in September 2024, cover guardianship, the role of the prosecutor, adult protective services, the state mental health system, and confidentiality/information sharing. A sixth webinar, scheduled for release in October 2025, presents a case study on how APS, prosecutors, law enforcement, and mental health systems work with MDTs.  Note: The first five webinars were released before Session Law 2025-23, which authorizes counties to form Statutory Case Review MDTs under G.S. 108A-118.2, effective October 1, 2025.  For more information, see the blog post on Statutory Case Review MDTs.
